The Open Window

As I sit in my dining room on this beautiful sunny Sunday I look out the window and ponder.... The window of life is always open to us. It's open full of opportunities and experiences. Why do we limit ourselves? Why do we care what anyone thinks? At the end of the day if you are single we are the ones taking care of our business. If you are married and he/she loves and understands you they will let you be you. So, do whatever makes you happy! However, no matter how many times you try to let someone else look out this window and see the many choices life has for us, you can't make them see it. They have to see if for themselves. It's funny...as I'm typing this blog and intermittently look out my window, Bruno Marks song "Leave the door open" stared playing, I chuckled. I think.. yes, the "window" is open (except for crazy), I'm not letting crazy in. Had enough of crazy in my life journey (smile).

Some people may look out the window of life and see everything dark and gloomy. This does not mean you have to do the same. Look at this optical illusion on the left... what do you see? Did you see an old woman looking down? Or did you see a woman staring into the distance probably wondering where she is going next or what she is doing next. There is no right or wrong answer. I compare this illusion to an open window of possibilities or a closed window waiting to be opened. Yes, I choose to be optimistic.

Don't leave this life without slightly opening up that window and letting a little bit of fresh air in.
